The top figure that appears to be somewhat floating in water is an interesting effect.

Jonas - no problem about your english.... I'm not that good at it myself... Thank you for your words. These are all made with photoshop... I'm not sure i should get into it myself, at this level. I think it is best to wait until you've reached a certain level of understanding and than start using other mediums... Those sketches (the digital ones) were made to experience different tools, so ... i think i can't tell how fast will they take from start til finish with a streight target... I think it is best not to hurry that much and see what photoshop tools and brushes can do Smile

BrianGilman - Smile thank you! I've noticed that, but is kind of late to modify something now. I'm moving on and never look back. I've made a decision a long time ago never to stick on a single drawing but rather do the same thing again if i have to.

Howie - thanks for the advice. You are right about flipping the canvas - it does help you regain your objectivity on your work. I'll try doing more of these environments a s a p.

rakuda - Thank you! Now that i look at it once again is not as good as i thought it would be, but... mistakes pave the road to knowledge. Smile

Mr. Mentler - I really need to get back in the game. I just had to get over a lot of troubles with school, some place to live, a computer.... a lot of stuff... But now i'm back! And have to catch up! Thank you... A lot!

digital soon

I like the middle one the most. It's kinda cute. In a morbid... cadavery kinda way... But sill, great rendering! I'm a sucker for such backgrounds. Simple yet very effective in making the drawing pop out.

Wonderful picture! Sympathetic fellow. I can feel him/her/other taking first steps uncertainly. Hands like with oldman walking on ice. Knees locked together. Hectic breathing! Suddenly strange noise somewhere near!Head turned to see something more spooky...

I would like to see you continue with this if possible. Ankles and wrists could be defined clearer. More height to canvas.(for feet)
Backgroud is very good but it´s loose. I don´t know how to work with PS but somehow the character needs more same style. Same kind of texturing all around image. And maybe more reflecting colours from environment. I guess you did know these allready. I don´t mean to bother but this(your work) is so intresting.

This is my favourite. He works with Photoshop too. Daniel Dociu. Great sketches too. I´m still looking for my head, which blew off when I saw these first time.

Here is textures used everywhere:

Jonas - thanks man! Daniel Dociu is one of my heroes... I'm proud to say that some time ago he gave me quite good advices... I stil have them saved and i review them when i get the chance. You are right about the background. But i won't worry about that right now... I need not to be scared about my final image - because i am right now... I need to make as many mistakes as i can so that this feeling goes away and i will be free to create again... It's a mess in my head... i know... Thanks for droping by! Much appreciate it!

Loony_lost - Thank you! Glad to be noticed... I'm plaing to get it further.

Hey june!
The background is just a fast thing to contrast the picture a little... I know it is messy and has nothing attractive, but.... i'm very bad with backgrounds...

Good prosessing. Odd dude but better construction. To me this is quite well painted. You did also these bugs! It must be a long way creating new univese with everything new. I guess I would try paint something closer. LIke studies from scketchbooks.
Keep it burning! And roads open!

I'm impressed too, Icey! Very Happy

I've been meaning to try some digital character work, also. Inspired by your work.

It's good to see that you've placed the creature in an environment. I would consider adding more shadow to the right side of the creature to bring out more form.

Also, to create a more realistic environment you could add a gradient to your background with the light brightest in the top-left; falling off to bottom-right. As in reality, the space closest to the light-source will be brighter than further away.

Great work!
Chris
